Default Engine management option for a 6 pot

Basically I'm starting th collection process of parts to turbo my vw vr6

Only bit I'm not to sure on is management option

What do people recommend

would it make any difference? i would have thought any decent ecu should be comfortably able to do 8 if not 12 cylinders - probs best to speak to whoever gonna map it fella and see what they like

Speak to Tim http://www.thephirm.co.uk/ they use the standard ecu on alot of the vw conversions

You need to ask your mapper/tuner as they will know best, If you are doing it yourself there are lots of options but best to talk to someone that has done it before.

yeh like the phirm lol rather than wasting cash on aftermarket ecu's when its not needed

Talk to Jim at JKM performance I once had a look at a VR6 Corrardo Turbo he did on Emerald and it was one of the nicest installs I have seen.

I know a standard ecu can be used jay but wanted something a bit better if ya get me

Was going to say a friend of mine did a vr6 turbo on Emerald. Was a seriously fast car and drive ever so well.

As Mark has said choose your mapper then see what they prefer to use.

what can be done with a standard ecu will be better than a aftermarket one if you dont want all the stupid add ons just for pub talk mate
