Default fifth injector rs turbo

im at around the 200hp mark and on std ke jetronic atm. as I understand this is about the limit on mechanical kinjection I am on the hunt for a complete 5th injector setup. my question is where can I find one? I will be going for a proper managent setup when funds permit and have built a properly speccedcvh. in the meantime I want to up the boost safely, to around 18psi. who is it who makes the 5th injector controller?

Aquamist ERL MF2 is probably the one you are thinking of.

I'd just go for a microsquirt or similar cheap full management instead though TBH!

I've got a controller going spare and you can still get the injector mounts

Used to be about £250 on the rare accession you saw them. Haven't seen one for a year or two

I sold one a few years ago for about 150 IIRC

But honestly, just dont bother, put proper management on it.

Microsquirt is only a few hundred quid.

Agree with Chip, the cost is almost as much as budget (but still perfectly good) full management.

yea, that was me mate. is that you dominic?

the plan is to go for decent management in the future. I just want something of a cushion as the mfi is about at its limits at the power I have. say about 220hp

But why spend as much on a "cushion" for your car to run not especially well on as you can just get rid of the MFi and put it on cheap management anyway?

what management would you recommend then chip and what cost can you get a reasonable set up for? on a drive in drive out basis? I was thinking of the cosworth route but 1600 quid for what is essentially 20 year old tech seems a bit pricy although I have no doubt of Janos ability. Essex is a long way for me aswell.

DIY and use Omex 600 or Adaptronic or something along those lines is my advice mate.
Or microsquirt is fairly capable and very cheap option if you can see past the negative feelings a lot of people (who dont understand management generally, lol) have about anything megasquirt based.

cheers chip. the diy part come be a problem as I work awkward shifts and I don't understand very much about management. are managent systems all unique hence why some can map omex were others cant? ill look into it anyway mate.

They are all pretty similar TBH mate but some people specialise.

A bit like car makes really, if you are a ford mechanic you wont have the same familiarity with a TT that an Audi mechanic would, but it wouldnt take you long to get the hang of working on one.
