Default ford ids problems?

hey ladies and gentlemen.

New to the forum, so apologies if i break any laws in my first outting!

Have a ford ids vcm, and am having a few problems on certain issues.

1, cant disable autolocking on mk7 transits, have tryed 5 now and can not get a function to carry this out on.

2 can only remove/adjust some speed limiters on transits/connects, ie i can disable almost all mk7 trannys but today had a 2007 connect which it did not give me any speed limiter option in pcm service functions???

any info on this would be realy apreciated as its very annoying

thanks

feel free to private mesg

Some vehicles you can't change. Like ex RAC Transits have a speed limiter that cannot be removed by the dealer tool for example. The only thing I have never tried is a PCM update and ticking the NO box when it asks if it has a speed limiter.

also..is it possible to remove the limiter on mk6 transits with ids?

I don't know how to remove it. Some vans can be set and unset on the IDS. Some can't.

Like I said, some vehicles are set at factory and can't be unset. I haven't tried, but by doing a PCM update you may be able to set the speed limiter as off when the update is done.

I have heard of mappers being able to alter the software to remove the limiter but I don't know who has this facility.
