with the engine running pull one plug lead off at a time to find which cylinder is missing that will help narrow down the search, if everything else looks good might be a sticky valve.

all gaskets and jets ,seals in carbs .. i had simmiler problem but mine is on a 32/36 carb and it turned out the be the power valve gasket was split (and it was brand new about 6 months before hand ) so changed that and its been fine ever since , sounds like carb problem to me as you have changed all the other problem areas

as i said i dont know a great deal about the bike carb pinto set up , do you have to re jet the carbs ? and are you running the same regulator the bike would run ? and dose the misfire happen when you just rev the engine ie standing rev not driving ? and i am guessing its new fuel?

Swap the coil, when old oil filled type warm up they lose energy output , get a gpa coil off here, 2.5 times the voltage output....

Have you tried points and condenser ,is it a new dizzy as these crack

It could be that the dizzy is to advanced or not enough have you tried turning it by undoing the 13 mm bolt the bracket and turn the whole thing !!!!

Got a reply on the other site a go on

Re: pinto 2.0

Are you sure it's a misfire??.... could be an overly rich fuelling!... my pinto is on bike carbs now and it's super smooth apart from a little rich low down to kill a flat spot, if I idle to long I get a stumble as the richness chokes it a bit... have you changed anything in the carbs???

I'm on manual pump with fuel reg too.

Hi go it some more info

The problem is the carbs

Most likely the carbs making it run pony.... stripdown in the least.... all needles must have the circlip on the bottom slot, mains should be around 160/170 depending on what carbs they are, start with mixtures 2.5 or 3 turns out from lightly seated.... assuming there is no airbox as such... be careful not to trap the diaphrams when fitting the carbs tops back on and watch out for any little o-rings too, don't let the carbs faze you, imagine they are 1 carb at a time, they will need a balnce too, this can make they run gogga, this can be done by eye with the carbs off, but easier with gauges... if unsure ASK... I've stripped cleaned and setup loads of bike carbs (on bikes).
