just a update to this thread i done another compression test today.

i have noticed yesterday theres water dripping out of exhaust when the car was warm.

and a very small amount of crud under oil cap, however this might be condensation. theres none on the dipstick at all.


also its still overheating temp needle going into the red once warm.

heater pipes get hot, but heater blows out warm air. not real hot.

the thing thats puzzling me through it sound like headgasket but i done another compression test and the numbers all show pretty much the same readings on all cylinders so its not indicating any compression loss on any cylinders. all readings within 5%.

dry test

cylinder 1 - 130 psi
cylinder 2 - 130 psi
cylinder 3 - 130 psi
cylinder 4 - 130 psi

wet test

cylinder 1 - 140 psi
cylinder 2 - 135 psi
cylinder 3 - 130 psi
cylinder 4 - 135 psi

after these readings its really got me puzzled.

I have it on my Rs turbo a little bit of water ans white smoke . Its just the weather on the stainless exhaust
Just check your water level too

Change your thermostat as it sounds like its stuck. Cheap and easy

hi i already replaced the thermostat it was the first thing i replaced.

hi just a update to this thread i managerd to fix my overheating issue i keep bleeding the cooling system and now it dont over heat which is good must of been a very stubborn air lock.

the car is still smoking through. my mate said the smoke looks grey.


the smoke is not there when car is cold however comes when the car is up to normal temperature im stumped to what else it might be.

i took a video you can see the smoke when my mate revs the car.

anyone have any ideas what it looks like.
