BMW320d remap at MSD
I'm trying to get my diesel car booked in at MSD for a remap using the discount code, if James or Stu see this if they can let me know when they are open next to book my car in that would be great. Does anybody know if they are open tomorrow or Tuesday?

Understandably behind seeing your Dyno install, no problem and I've booked it in for the 17th April. Many thanks and I'm not sure what to expect as the 320d engine is really quite good already to be fair.

You will love it, and, if for some reason you don't, you have a 7 day no quibble money back guarantee anyway, so you have nothing to lose.

I went out for a "spirited" drive on Sunday, it's have a heavy flywheel haven't they?! LOL it really lurches on when you change into the next gear up. Great round town and superb round the lanes too, and it still returned 35.9MPG average PMSL. and you can improve on that?..

have you ever had anybody ask for their money back?
I've had the car recalibrated, the lurch has gone, it picks up earlier, better throttle response, pulls really well to the limiter now and I saw 60MPH combined on the way home...
I'm seriously considering a 330d for a track car instead of the Sapphire RS

I drive lots of cars, and all the new diesels. I'm really impressed with the shove as they come on boost, but I'm not sure about one as a track car? Not sure the way they rev would make them enjoyable on track.
What's the shove like now since remap? I might well end up with a BMW diesel sport 5 series if/when the right one comes up.
I drove quite a rare car the other day, a mk5 Golf 4motion but it was a 2.0TDi. First one I've seen. Was quite nippy too. I reckon that would make someone an awesome little car, especially with a remap.

Well put it this way- it's not far off my standard RS engine and I genuinely think that I could drive the BM point to point just as quick and easier than the Sierra given brake upgrades... And maybe a seat... And a diff... And a bit more rubber on the rear... And maybe suspo... LOL,
I can only imagine what a 330d is like with 300BHP and 400lbft, and for £1600?! you have to consider it.*
Having said that, I decided that I'm going to give the RS one last refit and to give it a chance of staying in my garage and not getting replaced by an M3 or other toy, I will have MSD make the most of what it has. So I've a year off from the Ford and to get a few parts together.

"The shove"? It picks up boost earlier and smoother, there feels like more of it and doesn't stop 8-500RPM short of the limiter now. It's nicer to drive and I was never after chasing lots more power so the performance is a bonus.
"Too good to be true?" If I didn't have it done- I wouldn't believe it
Thanks again James, that'll do nicely for now.
