Peugeot 306
Bought one of these as my first car and was wondering what's people's opinion/experiences with these?
I'll post pics tommorow but it cost £495 and is rust free, gleaming inside, good paint outside, solid mechanically and just really tidy. Only downside is a dent in the wing and damage to the rear bumper (previous owner was a bird, 'nuff said). Think I got myself a right bargain

Is it a 1.4 Meridian?
Not bad, be under powered a bit but should still handle really well.

It's a 1.4 LX, drove fine, didn't feel under powered, but then all I've ever driven are mopeds and a 206 so I cant comment

Had a 306 xsi and the French made car was as good as the French army. Fucking thing surrendered constantly.
I'd never have another but could of just been a bad car.

Picked her up today, she feels great and drove really well. I've bought some polish and other treats to tidy it up.

I'm not sure what you call them but the 5spoke(I think) that are found on the HDI's look good especially when lowered

She certainly does handle well, though I can only compare it to a 207 that I did my test in (not too many fords for a ford enthusiast eh?)

The back end on it will be deadly if its on budgets.
Make sure the tire pressures are right on it.
Problems really and rot and rear beams.
Check for any camber on the rear wheels, they should be at 90 degree angles to the road.

Thoroughly checked her over for rot and she's solid, really suprised by it.
Cheers for the heads up on the tires, they seem fine but I'll check them over when I can
