Asked him in september to build an engine for my Fiesta and he told me he was jacking it in as he changed jobs and has no spare time to be working on cars anymore.

I hope this is not true about Ian giving it all up because out of all the people I have delt with and paid to do work he is the only person apart from crazycage who delivers on time with out any hassle and just doesn't mess about

He is a nice guy who only does a propper no messing service

But if he has changed jobs then I wish him all the best

I don't think he has stoped trading.last time i spoke to him he didn't say any thing. Think his website is just being updated as he has a new email address.

He sold his evo ages ago. Its now being used as a demo car for roose motorsport

If he's just updating his website, he's taking a long time about it, as it's been down for months. i assumed he'd packed it in as a quick google brings up nothing official, no phone number, no address, no.anything.

Would be a shame if he has packed it in i found him extremely helpfull for me and even went out of his way to get parts for me and allowed me to collect them from his home address

Last time I talked to him about business he was saying that if quarter of the people that spoke to him about engine builds would used his services he would be a lot more wealthy if you get wat I'm saying, which is a shame as anyone who knows him and his work are always over the moon with his service, but have not heard he is packing up from his mouth yet? And he did send me his new email?

I've just spoke to Ian and yes it is true ;( which as people say is a real shame, he's so helpful and I was pretty shocked at how reasonable his prices are when he built my engine.

He said he's taking a year out to finish other projects mainly his house.
