Default T04b Anygood?

Hi all

Building my YB for 400bhp and trying to decide on a turbo, was thinking t34.63 but came across a t04b!

Never heard of one before and wondered if there anygood, spool, lag, what power they good for?

Pick a reputable tuner, tell them what your aiming for and hey presto they will recommend you a turbo and engine spec, simples.

T04b's are pretty good. I've driven a car with one on and it wasnt too laggy and ran all day at 30psi on greys..

As said ,talk to your tuner. Yet remember you can use whatever you what regarding turbo's . (comp wheels/exhaust turbines ) have a go look for a company willing to spec your needs and not one who sells other........ Cheers . Tim

depends what T04b it is, internal or external wastegate? what rear housing? what manufacturer etc?

be wary of manufacturer, i used a non branded one and it shit itself on 27psi on my zetec turbo, just the same as a t04e too, the gt3071r however loved it

careful as it could be a truck diesel version, Garret made a huge rang of t4 turbos. I have seen them on diesel tow along compressors as well.

t04b are normally diesal with big turbine wheel and housing 1.00 a/r ,but the t34 is also a t04b
front comp housing and back plate
