How much would you expect to pay for a decent T04b?

I have seen a TO4 turbo on a rusty old industrial diesel compressor in work so this gives you an idea of the wide ranging versions out there.
Be very wary of buying a pup and there are endless variations of the t04 turbo over the last 20 years and only a small handful are suitable for cosworth applications

no, a t4b isnt a type of t3/4, it could be the compressor housing on a t3/4 tho,same as a rs500 turbo is a t3/4
ALL t4b means is the compressor housing inlet and outlet size, nothing else, could be 1000s of different turbos.

Compressor cover sizing -
T04B (2.75" in / 1.75" out),
T04E (3" in / 2" out),
T04S (4" in / 2.5" out),
T04H (4" in / 3" out)
