Unless its what we call a "Feature of the car" that was there from production. Mapping around faults and masking problems with extra fuel is a mugs game and causes only heartache.
When a car comes to us, it goes on the snap on verdict and has a test drive to ensure all is well before we will touch it. If its not, the job ends there and the customer is informed its not suitable for remapping, and is given his options.

one i even refused the dyno run as it was about to blow up when he arrived already and i want gonna clean the dyno all day of waste oil

The more turbos,more fun!
I was actually discussing a similar thing with a friend of mine the other day who is as tight as a ducks backside.
For some it really is all about money!
I also discovered that a Remap company actually mapped out the Knock sensor on a mates 55 plate Mini Cooper S!!

I'm hoping to get my FRS down to Sabre in Bristol for a remap sometime later in the year. So far i have only heard good things about this company in the FRS world.
Is it true that some remaps, as well as producing more power and a better power delivery, can also improve fuel consumption?
