best oil for erst ??

Noticed this thread in another section - so are we all agreed that Silkolene 10w-50 has the majority vote as the best oil?
Is a flush necessary when going from standard oil to synthetic - or is a drain only ok?

Here you go,
Flushing Procedure (Dont use flushing oils or additives)
1. Warm up engine to get oil circulating
2. Turn off engine and drain old oil
3. Fill with new oil to minimum (you will be wasting this)
4. Warm up engine to get oil circulating
5. Turn off engine, drain new oil and change filter
6. Fill to marker on dipstick

hi mate, ive tryed a few oils in my erst, and did not rate the mobil 1 motorsport, why you might ask? well for me my engine sounded more ratily and the engine temp went up, so i went back to puttin semi synthetic magnatec the lifters sounded alot better and the temps were better i change the oil about every 3000 miles..
