pretty sure that like the rs500 the 22b had a pretty special homoligation-type motor that could make silly hp. seen a couple in the flesh and they're awesome - proper arches and stance.

There's also another one local to me in Largs that sits outside a big posh house!
That one in New Cumnock is my uncles, he emigrated to Australia last year and left it behind...... I believe he is now thinking of exporting to be with him in Australia. It is immaculate is all I can say

P1's were setup for the UK market so fuel isn't an issue. The general feeling is oil pumps and people not replacing the MAF sensor regularly. It's become a yearly service item for most owners now.

On the 22B - you could give Brian Downie Motorsport a call about it. He had one for sale recently and he owns one himself. Would rely on his advice and opinions on anything Subaru related.

Price wise, seen a few recently in the low 20's but they'd been fucked about with. If its original and straight then it'd be an easy £25-30k.

I had a 22b uk model around 6ish years ago, very nice car i enjoyed owning it. Also made a few quid selling it after 12 months.

For the right money i would say give it ago but keep it in mint condition, body parts & wheels are big big money.

My mate Mark Holland owned Bentleys of Sheffield the Subaru dealer. He had a genuine UK car. 2 Scrotes walked in one day and saw the keys hanging up. They drove it straight through the showroom window. They caught the little shits when they stuffed it in the gravel trap at the M1 end of the parkway. Awesome cars!

Are you sure Mat? I know him too and I'm pretty sure I remember he had one. It had the seats stitched with his name, it was a gift from the Prince of Jordan.
Might be mistaken, but he definitely had a scooby.

It says it was his cousin but I remember it being a bit dodgy about who was driving it.

"'Prince' Naseem cousin jailed
A COUSIN of boxer "Prince" Naseem Hamed has been jailed for four-months for crashing the ex-champion's £45,000 Subaru Impreza at 80mph. Andruoos Yafai, 18, shunted another car into a public telephone box, injuring a man who was using it. He was banned for driving for 18 months."

Thought so. He definitely wrote off his SLR but he had his 22b serviced somewhere and his cousin wrote it off so the story goes.
