'pfffft not one of them i want a 'real' cossie' lol and promptly took a secondhand 3door out for a drive
i remember going on holiday in it fully laiden and struggling over speed bumps

My old man used to have a white mk1 Escort RS1600 with a proper highly tuned BDA in it!

He decided it was too lairy so pulled the engine out, sold it, and put a mildly tuned 1600 crossflow in it!!!!

mk4 cortina 1.6 wit a 2ltr cam and a twin choke 32/36 weber on it and the timing fiddled with.went well for what it was and beat the odd mk2.cars gone long ago now but still have the engine in a shed somewhere!!

1980 Triumph Dolomite Sprint in British Racing Green,

Engine was overbored & rebuilt using parts supplied by a company
called Sprint Spares.

He gave me the car on my 18th birthday so i could use it in part ex
with a Q plated (76) MkII Rs2000 in red.

My dad had this ford rochdale before i was born, it had to be sold when my sister came along.



we had this for a few years in the mid 1980's and as you can see he had a lucky escape when he was packing the car up for a weekend away, a car driven by an old blind man hit the back of us as my dad was loading it, the wing mirror of the other car actually hit my dad in the back, a foot to the left and my dad would have lost his legs or life!!
the car was replaced by several granada scorpio's which he loved.
