Default What was your favourite car that your Dad used to own?

My Dad had a load of different cars, but back in '83 (when I was 13) he bought one of these and I absolutely loved it.....

A 1982 Renault Fuego!

Yeah I know, looking back they weren't the best car in the world, but my Dad owned it and I loved it....

So what's the ONE favourite car that your Dad/Mum used to own and drive you around in before you could drive yourself?

Get some pics up!

My Dad was a big Jag man. When I was born I came back from the hospital in the back of the E type apparently. He passed on in 1981 and it was my biggest ambition that when I got my license (1983) I wanted to drive the E type. Then when I got a chance to drive her it was the biggest letdown ever! Stunning looks but a horrible drive (it was a minter as well not some old shitter). Biggest regret was not keeping it as the prices for them went ballistic a few years after I traded it in on new Golf GTI.

During the early eighties my dad had a couple of Saab 900 Turbo.

In black, mean looking, 185bhp was quite nice back in the days.

My ride to school was blurred like this pic.

Bloody hell what a sweet thread

Best cars my dad had was a Black Mk2 RS2000 , I was about 5 years old at the time and everyday I would say to him " You wont sell that car will you dad ? "

" No Son , I wont and when your old enough to drive you can have it "

BASTARD SOLD IT A WEEK LATER

I threw such a strop that 3 weeks later he bought a red Mexico ................. TOLD HIM IT LOOKED CRAP

Then I remember playing in the close we lived in with my mates and all we could here this dirty great rumble

Up turns my Dad in a brand new Black SD1 5.0 V8

Many happy memeories of that car

I would have one myself but all I come across are the 3.5 versions

But I also remember he had a Vauxhall Victor 3.2l Estate that had a flexi aerial that ran the full length of the car (Back to Front).

We were in Sheffield and the aerial clip came away from the front as we went round a bend.. unfortunately a copper was stood on the corner and it knocked his tit hat clean off

My best memorie`s of my old man`s car`s are him coming side ways round the corner at my local shops in a mk 1 rs 2000, it was pacific blue i think, or olympic blue, i was there hanging about like a ned with some of ma boys, they were over the moon
He had loads of fords, mk2 rs2000 x pack, saph cos, escos, mk4 gartac, are the ones that stick in my head, hence why i love old fords
