Triumph TR7 - JPS edition?
Is there anyone on here who's clued up on TR7's? I was speaking to someone last night and this was mentioned, JPS TR7, and despite searching on google etc, haven't been able to find anything about it.

Its not Jps but this is probably what you are thinking of.
Its a 'Premium' special edition, there were only 400 made, and came in black with either gold or silver stripes. They also came with the Tan / Cheque interior that was pioneered for the convertible model, as well as the full length sun roof.

Cheers for that, it was mentioned in conversation last night and I just wondered.
There's a couple of JPS Capri's in our local car club, a 2 litre and a 3 litre Auto.

Dont remember a JPS liveried TR7
Capris certainly did have the JPS livery, most were black, a few were white.
I work for JPS so remember the liveries we sponsored

All quite interesting. So, were the white ones called JPS officially?
From that article:
From that article:
Interestingly the JPS was also available in white, the exact opposite to the midnight Capri. The White Capri JPS had all chrome work and external trim (with the exception of the front grill) replaced with items painted in white, the car retained the gold coach lining, the same interior and alloy wheels as the black car. Approximately 25% of the JPS model production run were finished in white.

sorry to thread hijack, but they did have cosworth badges on them! So it is kinda correct! That car had the engine that should have gone in the sierra cosworth! Can you imagine where we would all be if it had done!

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
They also made a few special editions tr7s that were sponsored by Parker pens (I think) that had a funky electronic key pad door lock and some other weird stuff. A relation of mine won one in a competition when I was a kid. Needless to say nothing ever worked properly and he sold it for peanuts to a collector about 15 years back after it sat in his garage for years. Looking on the web now I can't find any reference to them, will ask him to dig some pics out when I see him next as it was years ago that I saw it last.

It is what it is guys it ain't your every day Capri you won't see 1 more like it don't know if u remember the back in day f1 lotus team sponsored by JPS well it's the livery from them the made a few mk2s like it as standard but never carried it on and the guy what built it stevie basset from Kent wondered what it would've been like if JPS lotus still used capris in the 80s and this is exactly what it would've been like 262bhp will be up to 526 next year when we have the twin turbos installed only a true sporting memorabilia maniac would appreciate this if u don't like it u clearly don't get good old fashion motoring in my eyes sorry :,) :,)
