Default Help with my fusebox please

I have a 1991 RS2000 16v, I think the fusebox may be causing problems (not the first to say that, I know!)

The fusebox code is BBC.
I know this code is a relic, does anyone know what it was superseded by?

And is this superseded part available from Ford?

Failing that, does anyone know someone who can refurbish or sells refurbished boxes?

All help appreciated.
Cheers.

Not that I know of mate.
What do you mean by long one? IIRC, it's the same as Escos, with 3 power wires?

My heaters have packed in, fuse is ok. Not checked electrics yet, but I know this can be a sign of fusebox doom.
I had a spare BBD code fusebox, but it looks like this...

Considering my fusebox is 7 years older than this one, i'm not getting my hopes up!

Yeah, hope so.
Well, I hope it's something else to be honest!

I'm just wondering what fuse box codes were used on Mk5 escorts?
Only ones i've heard of are BBD (and my BBC)

That's not the one fitted mate, it was my spare that's now going in the bin!

I'm pretty sure any quite high spec escort from around that era has the same fusebox.
Later ones were the same code as Cosworth fuseboxes, that's why I asked on here!

It can be fixed, but normally the fix is functional not pretty, you very carefully redo the tracks with wires in parallel of a suitable gauge to deal with the current draw of the circuits in question! I will be having to to do something similar for my toy. This is the only way you can fix some vintage or valve amps and can be rather time consuming!

If possible you can tidy up the track on the boards and re lacquer it too!

Iirc as long as it comes from the same spec car with things like electric windows, central locking, it should be the same box.

Only ones I've seen for a Mk5 are BAA & BBD, as Cossie Sean said.

IIRC, Mk6 ones have a 2 letter code, so steer clear of them.

Check the actual heater motor mate, I changed my Escos fusebox last year when my heater fan didn't work, everybody said the fusebox would be at fault.

changing the fusebox did fook all, it was a problem with the heater motor

Yeah, i'm not convinced it's the box I need to be looking at mate.

My cars spent more time in paint shops than on the road, not likely to be worn out!
