Default Value power??

£3k for 400bhp (injectors, turbo, new exhaust system, fuel pump, mapping)

Or £1k for 350bhp...(turbo std, mapping)

Car is currently approx 275bhp and I fancy a change.

I agree, 350bhp. Nice noticeable increase for not a big outlay pluss big power tends to get wasted in a fwd car.

As above anything over 300bhp is just for show/bragging really as anything over 300 is useless in front wheel drive applications

I would go to 350 for now, and if you get bored then you can still save and go the next step,
As for the 300hp is useless I got to disagree, the way diffs have evolved on fwd boxes has moved the bench mark, I have a 400hp focus track car that puts the power down so well it's amazes me.

I agree that a good diff does help but then gingeRS would have to factor in the cost of a diff as well.

The atb is ok at that power on the road, if I was doing loads of track time then I would upgrade to a platted diff.

as above, i was running 2BAR through my gt3071r on my 2.1zetec turbo and the power wasn't wasted, good tyres are essential though.
i'd go for a 350bhp setup though, the cost isn't worth the few extra horses IMO.
don't go chasing figures, it'll never end.

Hadn't considered the diff. Hmm might just go for the mild upgrade for now. As stated can perform further upgrades in the future

I've had a focus Rs at 400bhp... The chassis etc is much better around 330-350..IMO

275-350bhp is a considerable increase and will be a lovely usable amount of power without being too power crazy so I would go for that. Also power delivery I would think would be different too considering the turbo change for 400bhp.
