Default Tuner help needed

Just had my car tested and my CO % Vol is 6.64% and for an MOT it should be 3.5%?

Now a few questions...

1) is this level damaging to my engine?
2) is that why my fuel bill is so bad?
3) will i be losing power?
4) what can i do to fix it?
5) what would you charge me to fix it? / tune it?

Someone was telling me today that this would cause bore wash and bugger my engine ?

Cheers

Paul

PS this was setup by a compnay near me and i've had a miss fire and overfueling since then.

You wont have bore wash at that CO.....I actually recommend 5% - 6% on off the shelf stage 3 chips!...You then know you got no fuel problems all over the rev range providing everything is up to scratch...obviously if live mapped you can get excellent low emmissions but still have the safe rev range.....

You should be able to just turn it down to MOT std though via the screw on the ECU aslong as it aint P8!!!

MOT isn't what worried me (mine got one anyway )

just i was told it would cause bore wash and i should get it looked at. Is why i'm asking you lot i never believe the first thing i'm told but i like to make sure if somethings wrong i get it sorted before it ends up costing me serious ŁŁŁŁŁŁ

if its running that level of co at idle there is a problem. just what the problem is who knows but i would get it looked at by someone proper. i have yet to see a car leave msd with over 3% and thats on off the shelf chips.

ian m.....remember the CO has an effect on the entire rev range so buying an off the shelf chip and doin it yourself, you should ask what CO is best...Collins quoted me 5-6% on the stage 3 chip i had...done that ever since..except of course now i am mapping i can get lower

exactly!!! so its hoofing fuel in it cant burn for fun thats why i said get it looked at by someone proper ie: set up , faults rectified, chip changed if its a my mums chip.

Ianm...obviously it needs a setup BUT it may be optimum on whatever chip it has..check with PE at what it is best at PGTIPS.

All i am saying is he aint bore washing IMO @ that CO.

ianm...my stage 3 saff build was running 6% and after 8000miles i stripped it for bigger BHP ....and the pistons/valves were mint

Are your plugs always black PGTIPS???...That would tell as mine in the stage 3 were always a nice brown colour.

Well PGTIPS yes as the petrol degrades the oil...but like i say dont worry at that CO particualary at the amount of oil changes done!!!

Smell the oil and see if it smells petroly and also rub your two fingers with oil on together to see if its nice and lubey
