The fan looms I have seen that paul supplies have an additional wire that is earth switching that can be wired to an over ride switch in the car
Which is a feature owners quite like
It also controls the fans independently and only one comes on at a the initial temperature and the second is activated a few degrees higher and they are then both active at this higher temp
Quite clever I thought

[quote=Stu @ M Developments;6080022]How can it be, if you dont know what it is your trying to buy?

Lol, All customers are told exactly what it is , and even if they forget , they cant be stranded as the plug is standard across the range of sensors , the only issue they may have is the temp rating , not a real issue even if wrong as none go over boiling point so any sensor will be perfect for a " get you home fix " if the shop you are at cant work out the temp by the colour code on the sensor we supply

Again we found this a great advantage as i would bet no motor factors carry the correct sensor ( OE ) for a cosworth , But andrew page and 3 others we tried in our area ALL had our sensor on the shelf due to it being the most common sensor fitted to most cars over 2009 production

Are the temperatures correct for a YB though? I've seen some that run the fans to 79 odd degrees when the stat is shut again

Over ride is a good idea indeed, we offer it as an option if the customer asks as its ideal for cool down Laps on track

What I meant by escort cosworth fan switch was that the escos sensor is twin speed and also has a modern shape plug. The sensor for that is still readily available

And Paul I still love you even if you are grumpy

Is that why you had the overide switch put into the loom
it's a test switch so they don't seize
