Yeah it's been around for a long time but looks like someone has stuffed a v8 in it now. It did have a 2.8 in it. It was copied from another x pack that I believe had the first 24v cosworth lump in it, Dakar yellow with the same split rim image wheels this car has.

Been looking into retro bodykits, thinking it would be good to do an old skool mod job on an old motor like this

Not toosure on the engine though. I'd probably go back to a 24v cossie lump

Even the headlights or are they E46 like earlier said? I want as much info as I can on this because I think it looks great, reminds me of a Renault Alpine

Another reason why I like it; It divides opinion. Wouldn't the world be crap if we all liked the same thing eh?

Are the lights not the standard Capri ones with the front extended with lenses?

Now that you mention it mate, it does look it when you look beyond the lenses eh?

Admittedly, looking on that link, not a fan of the letters on the bonnet.

The headlights are standard, the covers and front bumper is all part of the double x pack kit, although fibresports may well have designed it around a manta bumper!

Just looked the kit up, you two are right by the look of things. Cheers

The car has the same body kit as mine , the XX pack

As for the lights there is various different lights that can be fitted to these

Their growing on me too! Has crossed my mind to x pack my capri but really don't want to cut the mint arches off! I'm sure the fibresports factory burnt down a few years back which may mean these kits will never be available again as the moulds were destroyed?

Sadly I dont have this car anymore ,I had to sell it during Divorce Its now owned by a friend who fitted BMW E30 from lights and a V8

These are my current capri's

Yes the Fibresports factory was burnt down , but I believe they have managed to make new moulds and can still produce these.

The kits do come up for sale from time to time.

The yellow capri looks stunning seen the feature in classic ford, my dad has a signal yellow 3.0s that looks very similar.

The orange car is a genuine 3.0s with 86,000 miles all documented , the Yellow car started off life as a 2.0GL but as I couldn't find a yellow S I decided to build one. The car was in January 2012 classic ford and was only last week nominated for Classic ford of the year. Its fitted with a 3.9 V8 , its not to everyone's taste but for me its what I fell in love with when I used to go to the garage with my dad.

I recently found a fishnet recaro interior as the 3.0s had roll tops as standard , the recaro was an option

Why Capri's ???? when I was young a family friend had one and it just stood out , from then on I've always had Old fords. They arent the best cars in the world but what they lack on reliability and rust issues they make up with soul and character.

Until recently my daily was a usable Saff Cos. I changed jobs and had to buy something more suitable and just hate it.

I have been restoring a 69 Mustang Coupe for a few years now , Again its not to everyone's taste being a coupe but she is all mine and someday I will have the pleasure of driving her.

ohh and her name is Florence
