Being taken out by my father in a 2WD Saph when he used to manage Dees of Croydon Ford dealer. Friend of his had a modified one and it definitely shifted

But, bear in mind that I had been involved with Fords all my life, it was just a natural escalation for me.

Mine was being taken out by Tommy Field in Francois Delecour's rally escort (white with blue tiger stripes) when popping over to his house (donkeys years ago I was about 17). Had to hold a vac/boost gauge for him out the bonnet through the vent and into the passenger window, bought an escos soon after!!

Being smacked up the arse, by my mate in his new(to him) S2, spotted me on way home from work and booted it to say hello, instead he misread the roundabout and clouted me... remember him trying to pull the front out on the sign post before driving it home.

Walking passed a S2 RS Turbo in Merc Grey at about 13 with my mum, I told her I would have one of them as my first car. She laughed...

When I was around 6/7/8 my uncle had 4 or 5 Sierra Cosworths, most written off, stolen etc. I think he only sold one of them. Remember going to Silverstone in the back of it, full leather. Was lovely.

Then at School around 14/15 a RS500 used to be parked on the side of the road near our school, never used, was just abandoned If only I knew back then hey. Never mind

I had this sort of thing too, after the cossie experience at primary school I was into my fords and when walking to secondary school I used to walk past a mint white s2 that had quite a bit of power, I know this as the fella and the car were quite well known in thamesmead (se London) I used to say to my mate I'll own one of those one day, and 6 years down the line I bought that very car as I knew the fella quite well by then, the only car I have ever owned that actually got me chocked when I sold it 2 years later

I was about 10, so 1984 ish, my oldest sister was 17, and used to knock about with a lad who had a Mk2 escort RS Mexico, in red with black vinyl roof. Had a big exhaust and 4 cibies on it, on a T reg, so it would be about 5 yrs old.

He used to give it the big un up our road and i was captivated by it. My sister bought me the propper old school RS Jacket for that Christmas and i wore it every day to school!! LOL

always likes rs fords and remember seeing them everywhere in the 90's. my neighbour had a red s2 on 17 momo arrows. anyway after nearly buying a scooby last year i stumbled upon a turbo bonus. since then ive been making improvents and now have 175hp atw aswell as big brakes and a car that handles. first time i booted it in damp weather was intresting. great fun on deserted b roads.

Never been in one, craving a ride in one though. Shame there's barely any round my way, except Jimbo's, and that doesn't even run
