Hi there guys im thinking of doing the cvh conversion on my mk4 escort and im coming to you to ask what exactly do i need.

As of now i currently have the 1.6 engine, with xr2 carb and manifold.

What else do i need? And what can be used from my current engine, what i mean is can i use my current alternator/ starter motor that kind of thing.

All information is going to be very very helpful.

If its any more help to you guys im going to be keeping it carburettor as it will be easier.

Me and a guy at work done this a long time ago in a mk 4 escort. I don't no if starter etc will fit as I had a complete car to take engine and gearbox from, but I do remember we had to splice in the sensor on flywheel (on cvh engine) to get it running. Hopefully someone will come along and help with which wires lol.
