Default Airtec Plenum vs Spacer

How much better is the Airtec plenum when compared with a standard Cosworth plenum running a spacer?

I know the hart plenum had a much better distribution of air than a std plenum, nearly all 4 cylinders got the same amount which they dont on a std plenum with or without a spacer.

And the airtec is a copy of the hart so "should" be the same.

Do you mean me?
I mean more even distribution of air to each cylinder.
Im sure i remember being told that Individual cylinder egts were measured on the dyno and with the hart plenum they were within 5% of each other.

Bare in mind i was told this way before they were on sale, a few years ago, so i might not have remembered it exactly right.

That is the sort of info I mean by better. Improved distribution sounds like a good start. What about throttle response? HP and Torque differences?

To be honest, I haven't got any facts. When you are tryin to compare anything you need to deside what we are judging them on

What about people who have fitted Airtec plenums then? Anyone got any experiences with them?
I'm just trying to make an informed decision on whether they are worth the extra cash and fitment issues when compared with a spacer. Are they worlds apart or is the difference hard to pick?

Back to back test RS500 plenum against the Hart no other changes the Hart made an extra 37bhp on Norris Designs dyno. We are talking high end Spec here but something was working better thats for sure they were both spaced. Why buy a copy the Hart is proved to work never neard of such a result on a blatant cheap copy.

Well ill tell you now rod the hart was copied yes but after fitting both types id rather use the AS one as the hart finish threads ect are like a 5 year old has made them

cant really compare as each car will be different so you need a back to back tests on the same car/map

The RS 500 spec vs Hart gives a pretty good indication these are a good upgrade then.

not that ive heard but could of been Matt . I did a fair bit of messing with 2wd/4wd and eec4 manifolds with and with out spacers a few years back and when the spacer was added to each manifold the car leaned off giving the indication that there was more air being passed so = more power but i never got to egt test each cylinder to see how that was
