Swapped the engine in my efi 3i and I'm pretty sure I have ignition problems

I have fuel at rail I have a spark but its not turning over its like the timing is out but in runs crank position sensor if the sensor was faulty would I still get a spark from the plugs?

Can I just use a universal cps if its the right length I'm rely struggling to get my head round it

 

if the crank sensor wasnt working you wouldnt have fuel or a spark..has the engine been running lately in any car?

 

plus you say youve swapped the engine,just the engine? fueling original ? obviously it was working well before the engine swap? and you say its not turning over? im taking that as you mean its not firing?

 

didnt mention it was fez turbo engine, it was running in the car it came from but not with this cps fitted i actuly drove the car a few times, the xr was running when i took the old engine out

its turning over i have fuel and pressure reg when u crack the nut, i also changed the fuel pump sender and some of the wiring as it wasn't priming right.

when you take a plug out have a rely good spark its just not actualy firing,

the clutch and fly wheel and head where on the engine from when the donor car, i fitted a s2 gearbox and the original inlet from the xr3i, also runs the ofac ecu, map sensor act sensor, its uses the xr3i tps and its running the edis4 ignition from the xr3i with exception of a universal cps ive disconnected pin 2 on edis 4 as per fiesta rst wiring

i then swapped everything back to xr3i spec (ecu related) and it still didn't start making me think its a ignition problem?
