Default edis 4 modules cvh - zetec FIXED

hello peeps

wondering if anyone can help me

are the edis 4 modules the same between cvh efi mk4 and 1.8 zetec

reason i ask is ican get my zetec running on cvh loom and zetec ecu but badly overfuels

now just wired in the full zetec loom and it wont fire up it sounds as if its firing in wrong order

does this control it?

the pins on the cvh has 12 but only 10 wires

as the zetec is 12 pins and has 12 wires

im using cvh edis at the minute as i dont have the zetec one at hand

As far as I know (99% sure), electrically, all EDIS 4 cylinder modules are the same.
The firing order IS controlled by the module.

Here is tech website with pin out info and how it works .......

thats some good information there thanks

but thats how it is at the minute

ive got fuel, spark but it wont fire up

im running a cvh flywheel if that makes any odds but by that explanation it doesnt

its says it works off cam sensor aswell so maybe my cam sensor isnt working

i have no idea how this stuff works ive just followed the wiring diagram from haynes for a zetec using xr2i engine loom which is the same according to the manual as ive traced every wire in it today and it matches

i just dont know anymore

The cam sensor is ONLY used for fuelling and the car will probally run without it
and MAY overfuel but NOT badly.

One thing to check is that you have the crank sensor wired the correct polarity as
this could seriously put the ignition timing out.

i havnt checked
i thought it didnt matter which way round the wires went lol

as i had to lenghten them

also it says it needs a 36-1 flywheel

now i have a cvh flywheel on my lap and can only count 35 rings ?

how can i work this out

The EFI cvh flywheel is 36-1

I.E. 36 divisions with 1 position missing. (35 ridges)
