Okay looked for a thread regarding this and I'm curious!
I own a Series 1 Rs turbo. But would love a 3 door Cossie or Sapph.
Now there must be a lot of you guys who have owned a majority of RS'S
What is your favourite RS of all time?
S1 RS? 3dr Cos? ESCOS?
Post up a reason why as well

RS200 - because its is a road based missile! Add to this to the fact that most people have no idea what so ever what it can do! I would be just about as good as it gets to take something like that round Scotland's cost .... fast A road to the windy b roads and little traffic.... heaven on earth?

I've only driven one RS, which many believe is not deserving of the badge. Mk6 RS2000. So I have no experience of how good or bad the others are to drive. No matter. For me, the 3 door Cosworth is the best. It is the one I would love to own.

That way you can give your opinion on what you think is best

Going on looks for me it would be either the S1/Escos or 3Dr

All cars are personal choice. I dont like the Escort Cosworth , think a white 3 door is the best looking RS ever but would own a rwd Saff as the best driver. Im sure all RS's have their own fans you need to drive them & decide on power level for your usage. If you want an RS to drive as a modern car then look at the new range. I expect an RS200 for instance would really be showing its age now & not the be all & end all of performance cars. Its called progress.

I have been really lucky and most of my mates have let me drive their cars to give me a wider opinion as I have only owned these rs models saphs,rs16i,rs31 capri and rs2k 4x4 so I can compaire, for me its a sierra 3dr may not drive as good as a saph but its looks soon overcome that when you stand back and look at it, way too many saphs around and although I admire work put into these vehicles by their owners I would never want to own one again

I think I'd pick an escort cossie, or a mk2 RS1800

Loved my S1 I owned back in the early 90's, on my 3rd Sapph at present, great car but to me it will always be the 3dr Cosworth, came close to buying one in the past a couple of times but it never happened. Think the 3dr still looks outrageous but looks just so right, even with just 204 bhp it seemed so quick back in 86', was lucky enough to be a passenger in a nice moonstone one owned by my mates father a number of times back then.
Still want one...

I really like the mk1 escorts either twin cam or rs1600 would be my choice if money no object, other than that I love my 3 door, I always like cars that are built for a reason in Motorsport, the newer rs cars are purely road cars where older ones are more raw and no compromises made for road. Which is why for newer cars I have had to change brand and would say evo or jdm Subaru floats my boat.

My above opinion was based on what the RS stands for and the older cars like mk2 RS2000,s were that truely in there own right and still are rallying competetively amongst other RS,s of course.I,m torn between saphs and 3 doors , more towards a saph nowdays
I wouldn't mind a mint white Sierra RS 500 that guy with number 1 was very good looking car.

Escos for me,closely followed by a series one.
I appreciate the old ones but I just think the escos was the pinnacle, looked the bollox with a propper engine too.
I have to keep myself from looking at escos shells to put my 4x4 bits in all the time as it would end my relationship!!!
