Transit intermitant loss of power
I have a 2006 (new shape) transit. Did a 100 mile trip on the weekend and every now and again on motorway it lost power but not for long. just felt like had no turbo what so ever. Changed up or down a gear and most of the time it sorted itself.
No dash lights came on but i scanned it anyway:
P0089
Fuel rail pressure sensor
P062B
Internal control module fuel injector control performance
P2265
Water-in-fuel sensor circuit
Rage or performance
All continuous memory Dtc.
My thoughts were egr valve stuck open? Ive also heard its common for the boost solenoid to go?
Any thoughts?

Hi. Just found this post. My transit is having the same codes except the fuel rail pressure sensor code
Did you find a cure?
If so please put me out of my misery
Can it upset the van without putting a code on. I've got a fuel filter coming to eliminate that code and I'm doing full electrical connector cleaning session this weekend and egr check. See if that does anything.
It had a new battery so shouldn't have any power related codes unless there's relays or wires faulty.
It's annoying as it drives fine most of the time

see it lots of time coming threw workshop , no fault codes usually , just running riugh occasionally and losing power , have you noticed mpg going down? usually dumps more fuel than needed and mpg is sign of it

Tbh I've only had it 3.5months. It seems ok. Get about 550 miles out of £85-90. It's an ex post van so it only does 70mph restricted. All the dash lights behave as they should. Come on. Then go off. I start the engine. The usual pop on then off. Then it's fine for a few miles.
I'm guessing my van runs on denso fuel systems. Just looking at the prv and scv valves now.

I had exactly the same issue, you should change both the fuel regulator valve on the pump and the pressure relief valve on the rail, the regulator valve causes an over pressure which destroys the pressure relief valve, you'll probably need to remove the rail and put it in a vice, the valve is murderously tight and needs to be that tight on the new one, ebay shows both parts for about £70 total. you'll probably find the relief valve in 3 pieces when you take it out, dont forget to hook out the copper washer and fit a new one.
Next problem which I'm yet to solve, these parts need to be learned in, because I also have the water in diesel error code the learning process aborts, strangely I have no sensor or wiring for a water in diesel sensor.
Without learning the new parts in the van seems to run fine but there's the risk of over pressure again.

UPDATE: It seems not all transits are fitted with a water in diesel sensor but some without sensor have the software saying it does so not getting a reading back from the non existent sensor throws an error, I've just booked mine in to the stealership for diagnostics, a day off work and over a hundred quid to probably tell me what I already know. While it's in, I get an EML because the MAF (which has been replaced twice) keeps saying the airflow is within range but higher than expected! there are no leaks, it's been smoke tested and if it's within range why throw the EML? Grrr
