Default Zetec turbo - before finally fitting...

Right, ive finally modified everything i need to and the mount is in place for my focus rs box and zetec to go in my series 2 rs turbo.

For now im using a gt25 turbo and manifold from a focus rs. On my old engine with a T3, the oil feed pipe came from the oil pressure switch, but where abouts does the oil return go? I would rather sort this before i fit the engine, and is there anything else i need to think about before i fit it?

Any help much apritiated!

Cheers, Tom

you could always just leave the oil cap off the cam cover and push a bit of pipe in there

make sure the return hole is high enough in the sump, if it gets submersed in oil it may slow the oil return down to much and blow the turbo seals.

Thanks people! Im totally new to the turbo scene. My old turbo was a T3, i take it the oil feed for that will go straight on the gt25? If i cant find my old return pipe, what do i need? Cant even remember what it was?! Im sure ive still got the feed pipe, with the old pressure switch.

you will need to get a new nipple (threaded) from the turbo to oil feed pipe, as i belive the gt25 and t3 do not share the same fitting, might be wrong though..

you really want it returning to sump mate, above oil level. think i have used a rst turbo oil feed pipe on a gt25, just had to hunt for the right fitting as the gt series of turbos dont like to much oil going through them fast,
