Default Car stuttering on boost at 4k rpm, (UPDATE: with pictures)

Hi guys my FRST has been having an issue since i went zvh on it.....

It drives fine off boost and comes on boost fine too, but when it gets to 4000 rpm it hesitates and wont boost anymore with out stuttering , i also get a puff off black smoke out the back

Does this sound like overfuelling? i have whipped my plugs out and they are soot black, along with my exhaust, and the car is using ALOT of fuel aswell as smelling of it, since doing the zvh i have done the following mods:

1.8 zetec bottom end
rebuilt head
2nd hand kent cvh35 cam
New uprated fuel pump
2nd hand beige injectors
2nd hand bigger chip

The rest of the engine is as it was before, its off to power engineering for a set up on Saturday so wont be fiddling with fuel/boost will leave that too them, was just wondering if anyone's experienced problems like these and they couldn't be solved on the rollers (ie sensors etc)

Thanks alot Adam

would really make any difference mate unless you have changed the plugs and now you have the spluttering issue

cant remember the gap you need

measure your old set and the new ones see what the difference is

Could you not keep trying to adjust the gap on the plugs.

All leads plugs and fuel filter are new, and were fitted with the engine 300 miles ago,
The chip is a 195 superchip which i have checked on my mates zvh (which runs beiges and a 195 and works fine on his.)

Took the plugs out today to fit some 071s and look what i found:
all 4 plugs look like this after under 300 miles

Overfuelling much?

i'd take the car for a setup, just drive slow. That chip is not right for your setup, its needs checking.
