Default Garret GTX range

Hey peeps,
Pretty much ready to order a garret GTX2863r for my pug but wandered if anyone has actually seen any results for any of the GTX range of turbos??

It would be interesting to see how they perform in comparison to their standard garret counterparts.

Can anyone offer more info or even better dyno plots and feedback

Cheers Danny

Mark will tell him to throw it in the bin & buy a Borg EFR .

Used a gt4202 then replaced it with a gtx4202 it spools the same but will make more Power. I will be going EFR as soon as the first 800bhp ones hit the UK better spool & same Power.

The Borg EFR is still in the back of my mind.. Only problem is, I'm using external wastegate and the size turbo I need only comes with internal gate option

He might be using a larger one than I would. I'd use the 6258 as it would give great spool apparently. The bigger turbos have different housing options and internal wastegate delete.

You can modify them, you just tack the internal wastegate up but it still doesn't get away from the fact it's still there when it's not needed. No doubt creating a little restriction.

The Borg EFR are looking great but even with research I can't find dyno plots of say a before and after in comparison to a garret. Perhaps anyone could help with that??

there's loads on here mate. Although im not sure what to search for. There are graphs showing efr compared to gt range and gtx range. Even with internal waste gate they out performed gtx. They also have the vband manifold thing. I think rod is the only one who run one but they sent the wrong size turbo iirc. Im sure rod will be on to help u out

He replied to my Pm.. Basically said to give it a go. Iyar say the Borg EFR is now top of the options list.

Anyone else got any opinions/stats/graphs on these turbos?
