What size bike is that on and CBT or full licence?
I'm 99% sure when I checked CBT + 125cc insurance a few months ago it was about £300-400, cos I was looking at quotes for a Ninja 600 or sumet and even that wasn't over a grand

I really like the look of a vfr. You got pics of yours? Single sided swing arm always makes me moist on a bike.

Are Honda maybe missing a trick by not having a ballsier blackbird to compete with zzr14 and busa?

I'm not massively keen on the look of the blackbird which is silly considering I like a busa
I think the linked braking is weird. Or is it a good thing?!

the actual name hayabusa is a bird of prey which eats blackbird's, Suzuki marketing dept got a big bonus that year, honda never came back

linked braking works well, got me out of trouble a couple of times

Very happy with my VFR, The last of the V4 before they went VTec... Pic of mine on page 1... Have to agree with you re single side swingarm, looks the tits with the right exhaust

I like the look of the blackbird, just seems a bit sensible looking compared to the Kawasakis

i think linked brakes with abs are a good thing, although i do miss rear wheel skids up to traffic lights

not got any pics of mine yet, but it's a bog std metallic black vtec with honda luggage (not left on most of the time, so ugly racks in place). not all that keen on the looks, but it's not that important when you're riding it.

i honestly don't think there needs to be anything faster than a blackbird, but the vfr1200 must be a reasonably rapid machine with 170 bhp on tap

Not sure on weight fella, power wise they are about 160 at the wheel standard on a Gen 1. Mine lifts in 1st off the power and can be persuaded up off the clutch in 2nd. My mates with a 4-1 and a generic remap powers up in 2nd. Mines now decatted, BMC filter, airbox modded, PAIR valve blanked and going on the dyno for a mapping session soon so will see how lively it is after that

Sign up to UKBusas.org and have a look around mate. Most folk on there are spot on and its a pretty busy bike forum.
