Default How much for a side light bulb + fitting??

My mate had to go to BMW today for a service as he wanted to keep up BMWFSH any way they pointed out that a side light had gone and needed changing, but COULDNT DO IT TODAY??!!?

So they asked him to book it in and they would do it for him, when he asked how much it was gonna cost he shit himself and told them to do one!

Heres the intresting part,Guess how much BMW wanted to charge him for supply and fit??

And if you hit the exact price ill chuck a fiver to a charity of your choice on my payday.

First 10 posts will count only for the fiver to charity.

Id say around £23 -25. They cant charge more than .1 for fitting and a bulb shouldnt be overly expensive

ok Here goes ...... in 2007 I was paying £100 per hr at bmw in London .... so side light bulb is going to be about £25 as it will have a bmw logo stampeed on it then there is the 1 hr to fit it £125 by now then there will be the £60 charge to reset the electrical diag codes too. so I would guess at £125+25+60 = £210

now what happens if they tyhen discover that the arial in you rear window doesn't work and have to replave that £600 for rear window and £200 to fit!

cost for new rear bumper with parking snsors, paint and fit was £937 in £2006... the man in van should have realised the cctv at my old work was AMAZING....

BMW will try and fit you up for spares... last week £36 for BMW pollen filter, OEM replacement is £11.50 and a cheapo one is £8.30 . BMW brakes were more than 3 times the cost of the PAJID brakes !!!!!

lol thats crazy, ford dealer where i work we fit all bulbs for free but charge retail price for the bulb. It's about £15 for a dip beam bulb (h7)on most things and about £3 for indicator bulbs/side light bulbs.

That doesn't make sense.

Ford h7 (1013711) has a retail price of about £15 (i think it's about 13.70 but 15 is a round figure..) that will be focus dip beam. h1 focus main beam is about £9 retail.

So for dip and main beam you'll be looking at about £24 ish. £48 for all four bulbs. One hour is a fit OTT though, ask what the book time is. it'll be something like 0.3 each side and thats being generous.

Kinda pointless without telling us what car? My 7 series you can change a bulb without taking the bumper off.. My m3 you can change the angel eyes but to change the xenon have to remove the complete headlight assembly.
