That's not the sort of answer I'm looking for! I'm happy to take on board what people say IF they've had genuine experience with the part.

The ones ive seen have worked fine, i find the springs are a little weaker though either side of the piston, worst case is to just take it apart and use the OE springs. The actual unit works fine.
Like Paul said they just take a little bit of time to get working perfectly.

Cool, exactly the sort of feedback I wanted I want to use them in a remote housing and will be controlling it via aftermarket management so they sound perfecto.

I brought one a while back and the car run at 2000 RPM, it was James that suggested the spring. When I dismantled the spring on the aftermarket items aren't as strong as the OE item, thus the valve opens further.

I did try changing but then it done the opposite and run very slow.

James, do you change just the bottom spring, or both?

I have used them on zetecs and some have ran sweet after fitting and some revved high, but as mentioned unlike the OE ones you simply pop off the cap on most and turn the screw for a perfect idle

True of a modern ECU, but the Weber ECU'S are basic and none of them are adaptive bar the P8, so this woulden't help.
