zetec e idle issues help please
Im having serious idling problems with my 1.8 escort. could tell me how the hell i get the ICV out or could it something simpler ? Cheers

hey stu if yours has the plastic inlet manifold its from underneath and held in by 2x8 mm bolts

The problem is mate i cant get to it unless you can give me some of your wisdom

use a 8mm ratchet spanner and go under the car and reach up above the starter motor, the fez has now gone and have a ST instead

Ah right cheers mate thats realy helped me out. it keeps cutting out its idling. what you got a fez st or focus?

focus now as my mate stu has the FRST and his rs2k

Its still not idling right and ive given the icv a good clean

zetecs are all run by air, could be the crankcase breather near the exhaust manifold on the front or the TPS or simply a split vacuum hose or a leak on the throttle body
