Default Car Alarm Certificate--Re Private plate

I will be changing the insurance company i use to Greenlight soon but i have just checked my Alarm certificate and the alarm was fitted before i had the car so it is in the original number plate.

If the insurance company run the old plate through, will it show up that it has my plate on it now

I'm sure they'll have access to HPI data or similar, the dates will tie up with alarm & plate change, jobsagoodun.....

Tiff,

when we bought the 2wd, we didn't have a cert for it, so we took it down to our local car stereo/alarm shop and got them to certify the car for £25 or so.

Tiff

Your alarm certificate should show a Chassis number on it. Normally the Insurance Co will just ask you for a copy of the V5 to validate the chassis numbers match.

Tiff, what I meant was that if you have a new cert done, the new number plate will show on it
