cheers was thinking of a 140 as there a bit cheaper , the engines are the same anyway are they not? as for the dual mass i'll probably change it as i'll need to uprate the clutch if going for power of 200bhp with a hybrid turbo etc what about headgaskets issues?

A3 TDi Q is a cracking little car, especially with S line seats, dropped on its belly and 19" BBS splits

headgaskets on 170`s take more abuse than 140`s and i have seen a couple of 80k+ ones let go

A3 isnt a propper audi in my eyes, the interiors and mainly switched/dials etc feel shabby and wear like mad, i much prefer A4`s, but again im buyest with my 1999 facelift B5, was a 2.5tdi 212bhp and 440lbft, 14 sec 1/4, then i took it out and put a 5 pot 20v turbo in it.................... DOH! Sounds well tho!
