Just over a week ago, another Company (part of the same group) paid me a cheque of £1200 to look after two South African guys for 4 weeks. The deal was I would pick them up and take them to the airport, let them stay in my spare room and feed them.

At the end of last week I was called into the Directors office of sister Company, and told that the guys Manager in South Africa had a few 'political issues' with them staying under the same roof as each other and told the UK Director he must put them up in a B&B for the remaining 3 weeks.

Ok I thought, bit of a bugger cos the money was quite handy, he wanted me to give them back £600 and as goodwill I oculd keep the rest.

Anyway, my MD found out about it today and told them where to shove it! He told them they shouldn't have paid me all the money up front in the first place and had a cheek to ask for some of it back as it was them going back on the agreement not me........ so after one week of letting the guys stay im £900 up
