Pretty sure enamel is what people use on the block/head etc. So yes it'll stand the heat

check the small print on the back of cans, they tell you the limits of heat they will withstand. im sure normal car spraypaint has quite a high temperature threshold once dried .
i did my cosworth rocker cover in normal spray paint, lasted 2 years no problem.

Use engine enamel - Its for engines

2K wouldn't last very long IMO

head bloack and parts on my motor done in 2 k


fully cleaned , two coats of etch primer , coat of primer , 3 paint 2 clear iirc


just hoping the engines out the cupboard before it starts to rust afpmsl !!!

All mine is done in 2k, block was cleaned fully then cure rust applied etched primed, primed then painted, seems ok so far, been painted about 4 years..

Same as, i work in a bodyshop, used 2k for years when restoring cars and painting engines, never had a complaint about it falling off

i did use on my engines ALIPHATIC-URETHANE

olso you need a special primer to.

gloss finish take the heat work werry well check my block.
