Default Sad day for my Escort

Stripping started!! It's not as bad as it sounds... I have sold the all the transmission (except rear diff) and have someone who may be into the engine so I've decided to keep the rest of the car and do something new with it

Bye bye YB!!

Lightly tuned LS lump with around 500bhp N/A would make for nice accessable power and ideally suited to a rwd trackday car I reckon

A sad day that it's coming apart, but will be interesting to see what you do with it.

I've gotta say though, a V8 just seems wrong to me, doesn't suit the Cossie at all!

Drift car martin. Compete in the British drift championships. It's getting really popular and would be good advertising for your business

I don't think you've thought that through... A 4 pot YB is a tight squeeze lengthwise so where are the other two cylinders going to go??

Gotta be an LS lump, Martin keeps mentioning them and his fondness for them

Either way, good man for keeping the car, so much money lost there if it went, fair play

There's an RB25 powered one in Performance Ford, couple of issues back. They're six cylinder too aren't they?

Indeed they are but with a monster intercooler the bulkhead would need severe mods.

Would the bulkhead not need chopping up for an LS series?

Not unless you wanted to move it backwards for better weight distribution..

I guess it'll all depend on what the car will be used for then.
Which ever way it goes, I'm looking forward to seeing it in action!

Iconic car for me.

A YB in a different form for me also for the replacement. Just a bit of thinking outside the box again like last build
