I'm sure you have seen how fast that Westy is already , if it had Martin's engine and front and rear wings it could enter the 2012 F1 season

That's a good idea put the engine in the mondeo and go for a top speed run, sure that would upset a certain somebody!

surely a v8 is a bit too heavy for an escort in the front? wont it cause alot of understeer and put handling right off? especially if you dont go 4x4 with it, i know a straight 6 would be a bugger to fit but id say its probably the way up for a new level of tuning in an escort, hope to see a new project thread either way

Shame to see the yb go, but it would be awesome to go with the ls1 motor.
Heres an escos with one already.

Is it gonna be this new 1.0 3cyl turbo ecoboost engine?? Lol

Realistically it needs the 2.2 20v turbo ABY Audi 5 pot, 4wd and Gatebil style power. ie. around 900bhp!!!

the sd1 v8 is light and low due to being a pushrod lump but not a big power lump as far as I know dont think its happy going beyond 300 bhp but you could try the ford v6 with twin turbos like noble did or be really creative and cram in a v12 !
