Default Options for tyres catching the arch?

Ok so since I removed the coilovers from my 3dr and fitted konis the tyres catch in the arch as they stick out a little and i don't want a different offset wheel. What would you guys recomend? I need to stiffen the rear up a little and have even been looking at the spacers for the spring when towing a caravan.

The offending car with said wheels and tyres.

Cheers m8, but I've sold the coilovers and they were a bit stiff for me.

Me and my mate both run Escos wheels on our Frst`s his doesnt scrub at all with 195/45/16s and coilies (and its lower then mine) and mine scrubs quite bad with 195/40/16 and konis with a 40mm drop, i have even trimmed the arches, will be going coilovers ASAP, as from what i can tell its the extra travel in the konis causing the issues.

Does it catch on just one side? My old car used to catch on drivers rear side and it was a worn shock allowing it to travel further when went over bumps and that, made a right racket if you took a left hand bend at speed, scrape scrape scrape

Both sides catch, Could possibly be a worn shocks but the tyres are pretty close to the arch

You tow a caravan with an RS500 ? lol

What offset are the wheels, and what size are the tyres ?

And why so against coilovers again ?

Really the options are few. Either adjust suspension or ride height so they dont foul. Or somehow adjust the tyre position so it doesnt. Whether through different offset, smaller tyre, whatever.

could you not change tyre width, make it smaller for a bit of stretch, but not too much that its dangerous, or really noticable

Drop a tyre width,
Change Shocks/springs,
Dial in some camber,

only thing i could see working if your not for changing wheels.
