basically i put a cosworth powersteering rack in my car and need a pulley to power it off what do you suggest?

Have you got a photo with the bottom pulley removed?
Would it be possible to modify a 2wd bottom pulley of a Cosworth?
If not i'm sure you could have an alloy one custom made.

Also an another idea does the power steering pump pulley line up with either of the two V's on the excisting bottom pulley might just be a case of putting a longer belt round the Bottom Pulley, Water Pump and then the PAS pulley.

In fact thinking about it it would probably be easier to make a bracket to line the PAS pulley up with the outside V of the bottom pulley and run a belt round them. If they don't already line up that is.

You have a 2.0 pinto ? And you're fitting PAS from another 2.0 pinto engined car ( ie Cossie )

Surely it shouldnt be difficult ? Or what engine is that ?

see thats a crankshaft pulley and a cosworth crankshaft is different
as far as my options go i honestly think the best option would be to take the original pulley off and get another v built onto the front of this

would this be a good idea? and do you think it would be expensive?

Thats what i was thinking, if its a Pinto won't the YB crank pulley fit onto the Pinto crank?

Modifying the original one wont be easy as it's cast plus it would need to be balanced or you risk it shaking itself to bits.
Your best bet is to get the pas pulley to line up with the bottom pulley and run a longer belt.

i havent actually had the pulley off but i screwed the bolt out and its alot smaller than the one that came with the cosworth pulley
who would i ask that would know if the cossy pulley will go on here?

Bolt size shouldn't matter, it may just be that the Cosworth crank takes a bigger bolt. You really need to take your original pulley off and try the Cosworth one on.

Can you not get pintos that had power steering from the factory? May eb easier to use bits of one of those?

Pintos that come with power steering on don't normally run a twin belt system though do they I thought it was just the cossy that ran twin belts

Didnt some pinto engines come with pas like the engines in granadas and efi pintos.

EFI Pintos did have 2 belts, and plenty did have PAS.

Although I think the nose of the crank on a Cossie is slightly different than a Pinto. I'm sure it's the same diameter though
