Why do you all waste your oxygen arguing about this all the time.... When both cars was built For two different things... It's like comparing a cat to a dog.

The Escort had 460bhp the Saph 680bhp at the time it now has 800+bhp.
The second vid is the semifinal at totb the Fiesta had never been beaten by another Ford.

How powerful was it in the TOTB vid? How about the Focus? The Focus wasn't that far behind given how much it was snaking about off the line...

Surprising though isn't it, Mo turns up and a funny thread goes to shit and arguement. Who let this joker back, seriously?

Really lol id say thats not true maybe rod might tell you how fast he may have had on the ringroad in his home town if he ever did dam sore its not that far off its top speed! do you think he built it just to do top speed runs a few times or just to nip down the shops in?

Must be funny being Rod or Martin and having childish mongs arguing about their cars.

Lukey, you'd do well to learn when to admit defeat!

Because every car is different so different technique is required to launch different cars.

that goes to show how much you know about cars, it depends on so much, tyres, suspension, beam, clutch.......

Bollox most cossies have koni's or similar, standard clutch and not many would spend a grand on a new beam mate.

Of course there variables like u mentioned are correct, but eg, some start in neutral, some have it in first ready to go. Some slam the clutch right down, some hovver just below biteing point then release clutch more slowly there the things i was getting at

It still just pisses off even with massive Power. As much money has been spent on the set-up as the engine. I loved it when a certain Tuner said its had no development & is just a normal engine with a big Turbo .

when i used to drag race my mk2 down raf portreath i used to hold car on hand brake slip clutch to take all slack out of drive train ,hold it at around 5500rpm lights change drop the clutch & nail it .it used to run 350hp with a 150 shot of nitrous on top in 1 hit
it used to take a big step to the left off the line then it was gone ,i done that for about 6yrs with the only breakage being i sheared 2 bolts on the o/s front wheel & bent the other 2.

Fuck me are u nob. I think i know enough to know a beam helps u put down the power but whats the point when u wont be running and big power as you'l still be on standard clutch. The car will handle fine for the road at small power.
