Default ford techs please?

got a 2.0tdci focus 05 plate in today.
when it starts up its very lumpy and smoking but once warmed up its sweet as a nut.passed its emmisions test on the mot on wed.

ive heard about the egr valves/injectors/glow plugs but has anyone actually had a similar issue and sorted it out?

cant wait for monday-got that to sort out and some fiesta 1.4tdci injector seals to do!!!

It could be injectors leaking a bit from cold.

this is what i was thinking as its very smoky and stinks as if it was over fuelling.

Its got the symptons of injectors hasnt it.

Could you advise the customer that the injectors could do with been sent away to get checked.

f they're leaking that badly, it'll be apparent on a leak-off test wouldn't it? Then there would be no need to send them off.

I replaced a few injectors on them when I worked at ford, as said try a leak of test or reprogram on them first, egr valves usually bring the mil light on straight away but again worth checking, fiesta 1.4tdcci injectors seals "chuffing" God I done over a hundred of them at ford

yeah i did a few at fords aswell.they ok unless its been doing it for a while and built up hard tar around injectors.coca cola works a treat to dissolve that

Only because I've had over a year's worth of aggro and a car that's had 10 replacement injectors in less than three years!!!
