Can they check my ecu and tell me if there is a fault without it being in the car???

Yes we can, but to test some of the functionality it's much easier to do it in a car

Problem is James my car won't start. If I get my ecu to you this week how long would it take for you to check it over?

Ive tried a couple of people I know. And they won't. My mates got l6's but no l8's. I'm based in Chester. It would be a massive help if I could just try an ecu. Just to either confirm or eliminate it

It wouldn't fire on an l6 we tried yesterday. But I don't know if that's a working ecu. Last time I used it everything was perfect and I come to start it on Friday and nothing? I haven't touched anything on the car?? It's the fact that it runs spot on with the phase sensor unplugged that is pushing me towards a faulty ecu/chip or baby board

I've not taken it out of the garage. But yeah it revs up, the idle is a bit high but if you unplug the iscv it's as good as normal. It's really strange. Ive tried 3 phase sensors and 2 crank sensors. Double checked that everything is plugged in correctly and checked for a spark and I have 12v at the injectors with the ignition on. I've belled the wires from the crank and phase sensor out at the ecu and everything is fine.

mmmmmm strange, i can't understand why an l6 wouldn't start your engine though, have you checked the engine loom for any broken wires etc.

Yeah the loom is in great condition. I'm no auto electrician though. Surely if it was a broken wire then it would have given me some sort of indication last time I drove it
