Default where do i stand on this little matter

just sent my car of to be painted(great i thought)
asked him to plate rear wiper hole and tidy it up remove some rust and plate it.

went done there and my car is painted but i ain't happy at all he has left the bumper strip in the frony bumper and painted that the same colour as the car. the paint is nice looking but when up close you can see dry patchs where the paint ain't flat. and he has left the windows in were i had asked for them to be removed so once it was complete i could new rubbers on the car.

i ain't saying it bad but it ain't good and i am now avoiding picking it up but all i want is my car back.

so legally where do i stand

under a 1000 but it still should be a good finish. i even check a load of his other work. from plain colours to metallics and they were mint. so didn't really worry about it to much. and now i so down in the dumps. i feel like i don't want to finish rebuilding her

tell him sorry its not good enough for what you want, after all i take it you still owe him a wedge of cash

say cash is there for him as soon as those couple teeny bits are sorted

he will no prob, if hes an arsehole take the car tell him to fook off and pay him half, the rest you will give to someone else to finish the job properly

simple

Be polite and dont get excited. Give them a chance to put it right, see what he is willing to do.
If you storm in ranting and raving - chances are you'll get nowhere.

If he wont play ball, just mention trading standards. Possibly the taxman too if its a cash job!

If he is a proper painter, dont think he would be able to do that, I know i would not be able too, all the time and effort that goes into painting a car.
