Just get a L8 job done all the mapers out there can work on them and a L8 will only cost you about £200/£300 were all the after market are £600 + and do not plug strate into a cosworth loom so theres more ££££ to get that sorted

My mate got his car mapped by them they are good, he got launch control, anti-lag, coil pack, cloosed loop, and air injectors fitted and live mapped by them.

But my brother went a different way and fitted a haltech ecu which you can learn to mapp yourself which we did a bit but then we took it to sitech racing in scotland who finished the mapping and its great ecu with new loom

Any ecu with the features you want, and whose mappers have your confidence in them to do a good job, imo it's about 10% ecu and 90% mapper, but each mapper will have their favourite ones, some unfortunately for financial reasons over quality so look around wisely.
And despite what is written here incorrectly some can plug direct into the cossie loom with a patch lead, but would likely not work with the 4 lug crank sensors.

Haltech definitely runs off all factory sensors if required via a patch loom.

Adaptronic is another pretty cheap ecu. Dont know if it will work off the 4 tooth. It should be able to though.

Isnt hard to throw on a 36-1 crank pulley if required.

But as others have said. You need to be using a system whoever is mapping it is familiar with.

You can of course use a after market 36-1 pulley, or weld a trigger wheel to your existing cast pulley, that's what I did, cost was £20 from memory.
