The compomotives that Staffi has on his car (same idea as the link you've put up) suit it to a tee, plus, his is one of the few 3drs that look to have the correct offset on the rear wheels so don't look tucked into the arches.

Ian do you have big brakes on the front? if so forget these wheels
But they look awesome in 18" https://passionford.com/forum/restor...472-3dr-2.html

got my vintage classiks from cozzymad of here at carniseur south.mine were 8 x 17 all round et 35 .the problem is you will need 3mm spacers at the front to clear the calipers and maybe 9x17 to fill the rear arches.you will need to mod the front arches.the 8 x18 is a better bet with 225 35 18 tyres and look awesome.they do not come in a 108 fitment but you can buy these as a blank and have them drilled out to any hole pattern

Pete has got a set of APs under his Compomotives?? ...although I seem to remember him saying something about Reyland having to make him a specific kit to clear.

If you not planning big brakes then it's fine they will look the nuts

Et25 is no good for a 3 door as thats escort cosworth fittment and they will catch and rip the arches to pieces .Plus the car will drive like shit.
Ive had 7 sets of wheels on mine and the ones on it now are only 17s but it drives spot on and its never caught the arches even when giving it a bootfull
mine are on the rear 17 et30 8j
and the fronts are 17 et30 but 7j not the standard 7 1/2j . I done this so they didnt catch the arches but the wheels still look like they fill the front arch nice. and the car drives SPOT on. need anymore help pm me mate. Oh and my brakes are standard size but i have plenty of room if i wanted to go bigger.
Here is mine

Tbh mate the Black makes them look smaller if that makes sense?? the silver will look SO fresh especially with the polished lip..

Yeah i like them too, mine are having the centres refurbed in Silver as we speak, looking at those pics though i hope i'm doing the right thing..

Grant i got the same kit as Pete, Reyland bells, brackets and adjustable TRE's, But Comp's have got a lot more room behind them than these Calibre wheels as the dish is so big, when they stagger the sizes they don't have a smaller lip wheel to go on the front to make room for brakes

But it's the perfect aftermarket wheel for the 3dr IMO, so as long as the centres aren't a funky colour, the wheels will look good regardless mate. Plus you've had them black for a while, the silver centres will look fresh and will give scope for a standard Staffi 50-photo shoot.

I trust you'll stick some pictures up when you get them on!?!
Actually.... Forget I asked such a stupid question....

Of course they'll be pics..
Grant, yes that's why i've done it tbh mate, it'll freshen the appearance of the car imo and as said, they've been black for 2yrs now..

I have 8x18 ET25 and ET35 with 225/35 tyres and the arches needed modding quite a bit. Those 'Vintage' wheels have very poor brake clearence so I've been told and don't clear std calipers! I had asked them to supply me a 17" and an 18" wheel so that I could size up brakes, they were interested until I mentioned brake clearence!!!!

martin will et 25 17s be ok on a 3dr with the kit trimmed and the archs rolled
fronts 7.5j and rears 8.5j some people think they are too wide and ive been told i can get 5mm machined off the backs?

I ran 9j front and rear on 17 inch bbs rims with about a 20mm offset and I only had to go a small amount of work to the front arches and I didn't touch the rear arches and with these wheels I ran 355 discs on the front
#28
Depends what tyres you're thinking of using, ET25 on the front isn't ideal though, I'd say that ET30 on an 8" rim is about as far out as I would go .

They are 9j I am 100 percent on that and all I had to do to the arch is roll the lip and trim the top part of the arch I do have adj top mount and lower arm so I couldn't say whether the hub sits on the std position in relation to the arch
#30
So your post was of no use at all then!! You failed to mention the adj top mounts!! I can tell you that 9" ET20 (with std top strut location) would sit 3mm outside the plastic arch!!!!! It would protrude 28mm further out than an 8" ET35 (or 18mm further out than an 8" ET25)

Martin how much will adjustable top mounts take the top of the wheel inside the arch? As mine has adjustable bottom arms & std top mounts but could do with a couple more mm as it catches slightly on very bumpy roads at speed even with the coil overs 2/3 tight - i would like to loosen off the coil's and run slightly softer with no rubbing issues.
My wheels are 7.5" ET30 front with a Falken 205/40 metal arches are rolled with the rolling tool and the arches trimmed to match

This wheel size thing is starting to do my head in i realy wont 17 inch wheels and i love the wheels iv posted and the price is right i all so dont mind putting some 3mm spacers in the front it would all so be nice to no if after market brakes fit under them . And i dont even mind modding the rear arches to make them fit. If i cannot work out wot sizes to go for i might try give them a ring and see if i can take the car up to them to see wot they can get to fit
#35
Coley Those sizes that mark listed above are the similar to mine bar 5mm more on the front and less 3mm on the back but will look spot on, look at pics of mine in my gallery and what they would be like, but arch work is a must

ring car audio and security and speak to jason.... he will do you the calibras or lensos with in 2 days to you door...
calibras are £500 in 8j front and 9j rear
lensos are £650 in 17s

8.5j rears 7.5j fronts et25 17s
they fit realy nice but the kit needs slight trimming and the suspension when settled looks like it needs to be adjusted higher slightly....
but im rolling the archs too
