He tells me he hammers you Steve, is he telling porkies then??
That's because you've got two simular powered cars,cossie4i on 2wd and the sapp on 4wd,no contest, the 4wd has around 20% transmission loss.So power at the wheels the 2wd wins hands down, flywheel figures are guestimate, power at the wheels is the important figure which people never seem to realise.
My apologies Moonstone Steve but the facts speak for themselves..lol.
Cossie4i,you owe me son.

I'm not interested whether it makes any difference i need the bigger pipes to fit the hoses i have plus if its angled towards the inner wing it wont make the hose kink.
Doh,why did I think your sapp was 4wd then,I always thought that,my apologies Moonstone Steve,ah more interesting now then both being 2wd..lol.
Steve, glad you are happy with the new cooler and your act temps has dropped on your road test, nice bud.
didnt i read some where that the taxi is low comp and needs head work, and doesnt the bus have standard compression and ported head, aswel as the best cooler and the best inlet before going big inlet...
as thats why its faster....
i bet if the taxi had standard compression big valve pockets and worked head with same inlet and cooler it would eat it alive

The Sapphire would benefit nicely with some head work, i would have thought a ported head was really needed with this turbo - would it not get restricted with that amount of air?

Haven't had any surge issues @ 2.2 bar, headwork is on the list of to does as i have a spare head ready to be ported.

I think for the difference that there is the taxi does quite well, lets not forget that as far as i'm aware Steve's T38 is a T4 without the two part exhaust housing.
